To welcome the good weather, Astória inaugurated the outer space and designed a special menu for the terrace. With an All Day Dining concept – from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. – and overlooking the imposing Praça da Liberdade, the restaurant has meal options (or snacks) at any time of the day.
In this new season it is possible to taste, at the table of Astoria terrace, “tapas” and traditional snacks, such as Grilled Sardines with spicy tomato sauce and “galega” olives; Poached tiger prawns with a selection of traditional dips; Traditional broad beans with iberic chorizo, Homemade smoked duck breast and slow cooked yolk, rustic bread or a Selection of cold meat and traditional smoked sausages, pickles and toasts.
For those who prefer safer options, the Chef advises Beef steak sandwich, with portuguese soft goat cheese on traditional “Bolo do caco” bread, Cured “serrano” ham Sandwich with “Serra” cheese on Rustic farm house bread or a variety of fresh and light salads such as the Niçoise salad with fresh tuna, “galega” olives and cherry tomatoes.
In the vegetarian options, the restaurant highlights two salads: Heritage tomato salad with burrata cheese, Balsamic vinegar and fresh basil and Roasted beetroot salad, Blue cheese, caramelized walnuts and honey.
During lunch (12:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) or dinner (7:30 p.m. – 22:30 p.m.) there is added to the terrace menu the signature dishes of Chef Francisco Pico, such as Pan fried Dover sole, butter capers and dill butter sauce and Matured steak with traditional Portuguese sauce and cured ham. Directly from the grill comes to the table Salmon Loin, Corn fed Chicken breast or “Secretos” black Iberian Pork.
In the desserts, we highlight the Bitter and white chocolate mousse, the Greek yogurt panacotta, passion fruit and the Traditional “pudim abade priscos” and lemon sorbet.
For drinking, there are over 30 wine-by-glass options (white, red, rosé or sparkling), a variety of signature and signature cocktails, aperitifs, liqueurs, and more.
